Our History Corvid Technologies
Corvid (previously Aletheon Technologies) began life in 2001 for the purpose of utilizing high-fidelity computational physics techniques to solve complex engineering problems for the automotive racing industry as well as the Department of Defense. In the years that followed Corvid worked numerous racing programs and provided computational support to the U.S. Navy’s Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense Program. Corvid Technologies was formally incorporated in North Carolina in September 2004. Since that time Corvid has continued to grow and diversify. To date, the company has supported a variety of programs for GM Racing (Corvette Racing, IRL, Cadillac CTS-VR, Pontiac GTO and G6) as well as several of the top NASCAR Nextel Cup teams. In addition, we provide computational analysis to support a variety of customers in the defense community including Aegis BMD, Navy IWS, MDA Corporate Lethality, Air Force, Army SMDC, DARPA, AMCOM, and SOCOM among others. We also partner with a number of other defense contractors to address critical weapon system issues.

Corvid's core competency is applying high-fidelity computational physics analysis to solve complex, real-world engineering problems. The computational physics techniques utilized at Corvid span a variety of disciplines and include high-fidelity computational fluid dynamics (CFD), shock physics, and structural mechanics. Since our incorporation in 2004 we have continued to expand our core capabilities and we now have significant efforts ongoing in the areas of applied computational tool development, experimental test support, industrial design, and theoretical research. All of these efforts are focused on improving the methodology we utilize to analyze, design, test, and build complex engineering systems for the racing and defense industries.

Corvid’s primary office is located near Lake Norman in Mooresville, NC currently occupying 20,000 sq. ft. including our indigenous super-computing center and manufacturing R&D facility. Corvid also has satellite offices located in Washington, DC (Crystal City).
