 CORVID Technologies seeks candidates to join its Solid Mechanics Applications Group. Positions are available for entry level and experienced researchers. The entry level applicants should have an excellent academic record in physics, mechanical engineering, or material science with computer modeling interests. Experienced researchers should have 5 to 10 years experience in material science and numerical methods. All candidates should be self-motivated and show excellent written and oral communication skills.
The Solid Mechanics Applications Group supports a variety of government programs investigating shock phenomena including hypervelocity penetration, energetic material physics, material characterization, and weapon system evaluation. The group also applies structural dynamics to analyze material response like bending and fracture due to perforation or blast loading. Knowledge of Eulerian and Lagrangian numerical methods and material equation of state development would be a plus.
The group provides a creative environment within a small group led by internationally recognized researchers using cutting edge computational technologies and teaming with world leaders in shock physics applications.

Applied Computational Fluid Dynamics Group
 Corvid Technologies seeks candidates to join its Applied Computational Fluid Dynamics Group. We are looking for recent or near-future M.S. or Ph.D. recipients in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with coursework and research experience in computational fluid dynamics. All candidates should be self-motivated and demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
The Applied CFD Group supports a variety of defense and automotive racing programs. Successful applicants will employ Corvid’s unique blend of high-performance computing platforms and in-house-developed computational tools to mesh, conduct, and interpret large-scale three-dimensional flow predictions over complex configurations; recommend design changes based on those results; and communicate results and recommendations to customers.
